Glucosamine (glycolysis inhibitor) extends lifespan?
http://www.nature.com/ncomms/2014/140408/ncomms4563/full/ncomms4563.html In this article it states that Glucosamine extends lifespan of ageing mice and nematodes by increasing ROS and inhibiting glycolysis, they conclude that it is therefore mimicking a low carb diet. They further say Mitochondrial ...

Re: Wai Warrior - Dreamer Edition
Hey guys, it's been a while since my last post here but I still look every now and then on the wai forum to see how the people are doing here. It's interesting to see how the wai warrior lifestyle is developing itself. And this thread particularly has made me sign in with my account to make a post o...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
So... you're getting stronger with alot less energy? That's indicating some important feeding processes have been overlooked in the original wai diet. Doesn't this just indicate that if you're hungry you're body already is making every step to optimize the uptake of nutrients, otherwise this would b...

Re: Blue light at night inhibits melatonin
Wow, that f.lux, I just tried it but it is very promising. It really is so smooth and soothing for my eyes. I don't have to be scared that I will stay up too long and not get tired due to the stress impulse from the super light screen of the computer. And yes, I am behind my computer quite late some...

Re: A healing journey of a girl interrupted
What may seem an inability, may actually be a refusal. The more strict your diet, the stronger the refusal may be. Once you resort to eating burgers/chocolate or similar again, that response will die off. Im pretty sure that even after many years of 100% Wai, everybody will survive eating hamburger...

Re: A healing journey of a girl interrupted
Well it probably depends on what type of chocolate. If its milk chocolate I just feel plain nasty if I ate too much. But pure chocolate, the 80% variety, actually makes me feel very satiated and warm. Two signs that are very positive. Bad reaction to dirty protein is one thing. Allergic reaction to ...

Re: Olive oil vs Macadamia nut oil
Then taste will certainly tell the difference. I don't know how macadamia oil tastes, if it doesn't taste rancid it's safe.

Re: Olive oil vs Macadamia nut oil
He thinks the little percentage more omega 6 in the other 2 is neglible regarding inflammatory issues. The fatty acid distribution of avocado and olives are very much alike, so that they don't differ much at all. I think macadamia oil is superb. It has very little PUFAs, so you can get the HUFAs fro...

Re: cold hands
Cold hands are often of a thyroid that isn't working properly. Wai diet for prolonged time should do the trick. Sugars are very antistress and CO2 generative, this enhances blood circulation and support proper thyroid. There are little to no antinutrients in the wai diet that inhibit thyroid (althou...

Re: Oil & Lipid peroxidation
Eating a couple of yolks and fatty fish would be enough regarding fatty acid requirements, right? No need for olive oil.

Re: Oil & Lipid peroxidation
What about butter oil and lipid peroxidation? Coconut oil and lipid peroxidation? These are highly resistant to peroxidation. I would rather choose such a fat than something like olive oil. You can leave a bottle of coconut oil in the sun for weeks without it starting to become rancid. Saturated fat...

Re: A healing journey of a girl interrupted
Commercial OJ is always from concentrate or pasteurized. This can give breakouts for sensitive people. Same goes for all types of nuts. Most unshelled supermarket nuts have been heated. You can crack them yourselve, or leave them out. Peanuts, cashwes and pistaches are not in the wai diet. Please on...

Re: Mouth Ulcer
I also always have this inflamed tip at the end of the tongue. I figured it had to do with sugars, cause it tends to get worse if I eat more sugar. But I have this metal thingy in my mouth because I wore bracers for a while, my tongue can't stand this metal. I will have it removed sooner or later, b...
