Re: B5 and acne...

well good luck! i hope it works better for you then it did for me. a brand that i found worked the best was twinlab, although it is a bit expensive (not as pricey as solaris, though). the vitamin shoppe often has it on sale- hope that helps. keep us posted on your progress!

Re: fruit irradiation... and about avocadoes

yes, they do use it in this country, but i dont know which companies do any which dont. its also unclear as to how the radiation effects the produce in regards to dirty protein. im going to try and do a little more reseach on it myself. i have a strong background in nuclear physics, but that doesnt ...

Re: Glad to be back!

yes wai, you are right. plus it wasnt exactly a controlled experiment that i was doing on myself, so i cant say that im 100 percent certain it caused my symptoms. plus my first experience with it wasnt so bad. i think no matter who you are, birth control (like most medications) is a stressor for the...

Re: from raw to wai

thanks so much! ive cut the egg consumption down for now- one or 2 about every other day- and i havent had a problem. on a side note- my skin is clearing up so rapidly i cant even believe it! im also losing about half a pound a day, which is strange because im consuming far more calories (from oil) ...

Re: Glad to be back!

ugh, i have such a tendency to speak inaccurately... i probably shouldntve used such dramatic phrasing when describing birth control. i dont have any scientific evidence to back my statement up, just personal observation and experience, but here we go... i went on birth control for the first time wh...

Re: from raw to wai

thanks for the reply, brian! ive actually been really good about food combining- probably because i was combining properly before i started wais diet. the only new element is the oil. i think ive isolated the problem- egg yolks! i suppose my body just isnt used to digesting them after not having any...

Re: Glad to be back!

hi monique! ive only been on wais diet for 3 days now- most of my experience comes from trying everything else. my skin had cleared up about 75-85 percent before trying wais diet (you wouldnt believe how bad it was before!). since i was already essentially on a raw diet, the only changes ive made to...

Re: A simplified diet (cheaper and easier )?

hey nick, i read about the egg white in wais book- i think the point is that the although the avidine and ovomucoid inhibit the absorption of b8 and the effectiveness of trypsin, the abundance of b8 and trypsin in the yolk more then compensate for the inhibitors in the white. nature made them that w...

Re: B5 and acne...

ugh... i tried it. last year in the fall my skin broke out terribly. it started ruining my life (that sounds dramatic but i swear it relaly was). i was in a pretty bad place to begin with so there wasnt much to ruin, but acne managed! i found b5 during that time and for a while i thought it was a mi...

fruit irradiation... and about avocadoes

Re: Glad to be back!

thats leos book, isnt it? ive read that one from cover to cover, as well as giving some of his advice a try. when i purchased it, i had already cut out processed foods, wheat, dairy and meat- practically everything other then fruits, vegetables, eggs and occasional fish. the changes i made while fol...

Re: A simplified diet (cheaper and easier )?

i have only been on this diet for a measly 3 days and cant speak from experience, but i did find this link about consuming raw eggs: http://www.mercola.com/2002/nov/13/eggs.htm# to summarize: "Earlier this summer, I posted an article that suggested that one should not eat raw egg whites. This is the...
