Raw Eggs in China
I will be visiting China for nearly 3 weeks soon. I have heard that consuming raw eggs and fish in China is very precarious. Any suggestions? I have been eating raw eggs on a daily basis for five years and have never gotten sick once. However, it would be preferable to avoid getting horribly sick be...

To Seth: This book has absolutely nothing to do with good and bad fats are you sure you read it? You wrote--He is for a low-fat, low-protein, high carbs diet. For me, this is utter crap.--Um, yeah, he's a vegan, that's the lifestyle he suggests. Yes, I have read most of it. Where did I say the crux...

Re: You all should read this book
This book explains just how lethal eating animal foods can be. It really has little to do with China or how the Chinese eat. Actually there are only one or two chapters regarding China. I have read most of the book. It is interesting and has some good information, however, there are flaws. One of t...

Re: Fatigue question/observation
Each time I eat too much at one sitting (has only happened twice during the last week), I become very drowsy and fatigued. In both instances I was definitely not listening to my body in regard to when to stop. Does this make sense??? Despite the food being relatively easy to digest, it nevertheless...

Alternative Sources of Omega 6's
I have switched off of Olive Oil and use Coconut Oil instead. I am, however, wondering if I may need to find another source (e.g. Evening Primrose Oil) for Omega 6's. I really don't care for eggs and use fish for protein. Any suggestions?

Grapefruit and Bloating?
It had been quite sometime since I had eaten a whole grapefruit so I decide a couple days ago to eat some. I made sure not to eat any of the refuse, however, I began getting a lot of bloating/gas after eating them. Is this something to be expected when consuming grapefruit as opposed to bananas or o...

That also depends on how they are made. From fatty foods its less difficult to distract oil by cold pressing. I wonder how its done with the oils you mention. Here is a site that offers a bit of a description of the two ways it is produced: http://www.iodogs.com/Canine/Ingredients.aspx Since they a...

When eating enough fats, the body "knows" there's no fat shortage, and thus will start using the available extra body fat. So getting what it needs then includes the amount of body fat. So to use your analogy: normally you would fill up the 8 ounce glass, now you'd fill up a 7 ounce glass because y...

If 200kcal comes from body fat, then you would lose weight. When carefully listening to the needs of the body, it'll get you to its ideal weight, by either losing weight or by gaining it. Why would my body take anything from my body fat if it is receiving what it is always getting exactly the numbe...

Ok, here you go then: Of course it can be done, but to what extend you may end up with the fat-percentage that you regard as perfect, differs per person. I understand...What is ideal for one may not be for another. I was speaking in a more general sense. For example, if someone was at 14% and felt ...
Chewing
I have almost always been a very fast eater. Since it has been mentioned that problems in digestion can develop into acne, is possible for not thoroughly chewing food to contribute to or cause such problems?
