Two or three weeks after I started Wai, I got sick (flu (not just a cold), my parents got it too). Before that, I never felt low on energy. Afterwards, it's been going up and down a bit, but it appears that I don't have the energy I used to. Perhaps the low energy is also due to that flu, but that'...

Re: Paleo Diet vs. Wai Diet
I just posted the following on the board over at acne.org, and I thought I'd post it here too to get more input, even if the input here is probably going to be much more one-sided  Heh. Actually, from what I've seen, the gurus on this board know what they're talking about, and understand both...

It's made from the castor bean. I would avoid oil from any bean. The castor "bean" is not actually a bean. Rather, it is a large seed resembling a bean because of surface patterns (look like a pinto bean to me). The oil contains low levels of several natural forms of vitamin e. It is also poisonous...

 A 1:1 ratio of oil to orange juice? That sounds just a little bit off :P. I've never done this, but I thought people only added a few tablespoons of olive oil to a glass of juice.. For how long have you noticed that slight lack of energy? Did you practice wushu when starting on Wai? Also, ex...

Agave nectar is produced from the cores of the agave cactus plant. Due to recent mass public interest in the sweetener, modern processing techniques have taken over the production of agave nectar, and many products are less than satisfactory when considering health. Is that nectar purely sugars? The...

If you like olives, you can try raw, low-sodium or sodium-free, sundried or jarred (although I'm skeptical of the jarred) olives. I havn't been able to find any such olives in any store anywhere, but they can be ordered online. Example: http://www.rawguru.com/store/raw-food/sundried-peruvian-olives-...

Moderation is the key to any aspect of life, in my humble opinion. :) Anyway, for those who suffer from skin problems, I would suggest cutting bananas out of the sample diet until your skin is clear. It seems bananas have very different actions in different people-- some seem to have a mild blood su...

Re: All about juice questions
-I have read that many juicers make too much heat on the molecular level because of the chopping blade procedure they use. I have seen the Jack Lalanne juicer at Costco for a good price but I'm not sure about it... From the Wai perspective, the pressure increase during the juicing process of most j...

On the sample diet, it says that as a woman you can eat up to 50 grams of raw fish... how does everyone else figure out how much everything weighs?! I dont have a scale for anything so I even have a hard time with the nutrient calculator!!! I'm not actually on the sample diet, but from what ...

In osteoporosis, there is a lack of osteoblast capacity to produce the matrix upon which the calcium precipitates. I have much respect for your theory, especially because it challenges the established proposition for the disease of osteoporosis. However, seeing as the only resources I could find di...

dont mention sugar if you dont mention fat and protein as well. If you are talking oxidative damage due to energy conversions, all sources of energy can equally 'cause' such extra conversion. Sugar has no higher potention in that regard than fat or protein. Animal studies have shown that one can in...

Raw, sundried (and I've seen jarred, but I'm skeptical), minimally or un-salted olives might work if you enjoy olives. These cannot be purchased from stores (at least none that I've ever shopped at), and must be ordered online. They are a tad pricey, but are easy to carry around and snack on, and I ...

One thing to be careful about with dates: sugar in dates is absorbed very quickly, and there's a lot of it. The blood sugar spike resulting from eating dates is almost as strong as taking a spoonful of sugar, perhaps faster (enzymes in dates speed breakdown of fibers, releasing sugar quickly, wherea...
