I'm not an authority in Wai, but I can almost guarantee with 100% certainty that that is not a problem. Anything you do by hand will not cause enough friction to warm it up. Because you have to remember, it's the friction and subsequent heat that is the problem. You can't damage molecules by mechanical force, provided you don't generate heat.

I concur with Halfgaar. Nevertheless, the more careful with the stirring the better, I guess.

I would like to know, is there anyone who actually gets acne from machined food? It seems kind of far-fetched to me, and I'd like some empirical evidence.

RRM says that he gets acne even from blended (high speed blending) fruits.

I will try to clear up 100% with the sample diet, and then experiment some
more with the mayo, but it really does not seem like a strict sample diet
is any more acne-fighting than a slightly modified one, in my case. I dont
know...

Luckily, my acne is not that severe. I can indulge occasionally...

Once youi manage tot totally clear your skin, then you will find your tolerance level to be decisive.
In other words; what is 'too much' for your skin, will definitely make you break out, compared to the 100% strict diet.

And yes, I have experimented at great length with blended fruits, and every time i went from a totally free skin to getting new acne, and when i stopped drinking blended fruits, every time i got 100% clear again.

Just a random thought : has anyone thought about using avocado oil instead of olive oil to make mayo? Or a mix of both... Avocado oil is more expensive, but I think it would really help the taste...

I haven't, but you could try it.

I do have another question about using oil. Does it matter if one uses the non-virgin oil? I like my mayo better without the strong taste of olive oil, and since oil doesn't contain proteins, I guess it doesn't matter much, right? I know it's not as healthy, but I'm only talking about getting acne from it.

Non-virgin oil is obtained from other than just mechanical 'cold' pressings, which may involve heat. So that non-virgin oil more likely contains substances that we dont want.

Yes, I know, but I thought it were the dirty proteins which cause acne, and oil does not contain protein, so I would conclude that it won't cause acne. Granted, it's not good for you, but my sole purpose for asking was about the acne.

Is it then possible to make mayonaisse which is not regarded as a munch food in wai ?

Why not? When I make mayonnaise, I don't do anything to upset the proteins (I don't beat it until it's hard). You can get it like good mayonnaise by stirring quite softly. I did it a lot and it doesn't give me acne.

BTW, now I know there are two raw foodies in Groningen :). Do you know any restaurants that are willing to serve raw? "De Markies" does...
