Calorie bomb - fat and sugar
This old thread viewtopic.php?t=316 gave me some inspiration. Time goes by so quickly. I want to have the energy but I don't want to eat a snack of fruit/oil every hour. This would be another option to the oj/oo. I'm going away for a couple of days and a jar of this paste is easy to bring, I feel like this allows me to continue this mode of nutrition, away from home, easily.
In a jar stir together:
165g cocnut oil (summer room temperature makes stirring easy)
400g dextros (didn't have regular sugar in stock, Oscar)
It gives a 50/50 fat/carb energy source.
Total amount 565g. One tablespoon (12g) gives around 62 kcal. 47 servings. One tbsp every hour from morning to night, say 16 times, gives around 1.000 kcal. So this will last me three days, give or take a spoonful.
Happy days

Picture posting resolved, thanks to Oscar. And this morning I took a tbs of the fat-sugar paste into a glass and added some water. It was good, I think I'll stick with that for the time being. Also now that the weather is so hot, it will be up to 30 degrees Celcius this week-end, water will do me good. I'll see you in a couple of days on the forum. Have a nice week-end.
Re: Calorie bomb - fat and sugar
so what's the best source of a wide range of micro nutrients all in one? would eggs+ oil and sugar combo work well?
Re: Calorie bomb - fat and sugar
On this diet, for a wide range of all nutrients, you need
egg yolks alternated with fish in combination with fruits/juices.

I really like the taste of coconut oil, brown sugar, and a little bit of salt.
When I'm feeling adventurous, I throw in some oats.
I wonder if maple syrup is too high in [Mn] to be consumed regularly? It tastes great with this, too. But I've read of Mn interfering with iron metabolism.

I think it's variable depending on the local trees, but NutritionData.com says:
Mn - 3.3mg/100g;
Zn - 4.2mg/100g
Mn - 3.3mg/100g;
Zn - 4.2mg/100g

Its very high, but not excessive, as hazelnuts, for example, contain 2 mg Mn / 100 g.zackcentury wrote: Mn - 3.3mg/100g;
And you will not eat it in massive volumes.

Sorry, mellis, where did you post the pic of your home made sandals? I'm very interested.
