besides the high omega 3 balance, are there any particularly bad effects of Canola Oil?

There is no such thing as a high balance.
1:1 is a balance.
1000:1 nor 1:1000 is a high balance;
just out of balance.
Canola oil is very high in Linolenic Acid,
and does not contain any of the other omega 3 fats,
and is therefore out of balance regarding omega 3 fats..

It may throw your omega 3 fats out of balance.

Didn't you once say our bodies can to some extent convert Linolenic Acid into other Omega 3s? And I'm pretty sure we can concert 3s into 6s and 9s.
