Vinegar is allowed on this diet?

What oil? Which vinegar? What about sugar?

I went to the USDA to check the nutritional makeup of vinegar and it is basically nothing. Is the purpose of vinegar on this diet just for taste? Also, why isn't vinegar in the nutrient calculator?

Last night, after finishing 2 lebanese cucumbers dipped with apple cider vinegar, I didn't want to waste the leftover vinegar so I drank it. It burned my lips a little. I know that unripe kiwis and pineapples can burn your tongue. So, is the vinegar not ripe?

Vinegar is acetic acid plus water, because acetic acid is an aggressive molecule,
which is however harmless when sufficiently diluted (with water).
But 'pure' vinegar (without food) is still quite aggressive, so that its not for drinking,
but for 'seasoning'. (the food further 'dilutes' the vinegar)
