keep olive oil cool and away from light?

Hi, the latest bottle of olive oil that I bought says "keep away from light" Of course I bought it off the store shelf, so much for that. Is it best to buy oil in one of those dark bottles or other container? Also, I read in a post that someone puts it in the fridge. Are you supposed to do that? Since this is one of my main staples now I want it to be good.

I keep my olive oil in a relatively cool and not too light place, not in the fridge though.

Indeed, it should be kept in a dark, relatively cool place, but not in the fridge.
