lol! I'm not sure you can spot it. Perhaps the best we can do is buy in-shell nuts from popular stores/online, that are regularly getting new shipments.

Aflatoxins are produced by fungi.
If the nut is contaminated with such fungi, the nut tastes bad.
So, only eat nuts that taste really good.
In processed foods the fungi may have been destroyed,
while the aflatoxins are still there (cannot taste them).
