Was wondering, would it be ok to juice a pomegranate with a citrus juicer? I saw the white is very toxic, but would it strain down with the juice when pressen like that? Or otherwise, can I remove the red pieces from the white and juice it with a normal fruit juicer? (Or would that crush the seeds, getting toxins in your juice that way?)
I've tried juicing pomegranates in two different juicers (high-speed centrifugal type, and the slow dual-gear crushing type), but each time the seeds were crushed and gave the juice an extremely bitter aftertaste.
I'm not sure what the best way is to make juice from them, so in the meantime I'll just eat the pulp and spit out those pesky seeds.
I made some pommegranate juice today, with a pass sieve Works perfect, very easy. The only difficulty is seperating the red juicy parts from the white bitter parts of the fruit (a lot of work!). But the end result is very good!!!
