How do they work?fictor wrote:And one more thing, what about self tanning lotions?
What do they contain?
No, i dont think so, depending on the power of those lamps, of courseLately some scientists have reccomended using tanning beds during the winter for vitamin D. The reccomended time to spend in the "sun" is only 7-12 minutes, once a week or so.
Will this cause noticeable damage or "aging" of the skin?
Cholesterol is a precursor for vitamin D, so it helps to consume enough egg yolks (they also contain vitamin D, as fish does too)
I will get an ingredients list form a self taning lotion and post it here.
Thanks for the answer, I think I will try to do 5-10 min in a tanning bed
once or twice a week to get enough vitamin D, and hopefully keep
some of the "glow" I got when I was sailing in Croatia this month
I will report back in 30 years if I get wrinkles!
