Any suggestions for poison ivy rash??
are there ways to prevent reaction to poison ivy?
the itching is driving me insane. It's been years since I've actually gotten it so I don't take the normal precautions that I used to as a kid.

From what i know, the allergic reaction is induced by urushiol.
You cannot prevent the response to getting in contact with urushiol,
but of course you can take precautions to avoid getting in contact with it.
Once the contact has been made, baking soda seems to work, but you probably know that.
As you are sensitive; stay away from mangoes, as it contains a substance similar to urushiol.
