tea tree oil proof

Post by sugarbarbie »

Hi. I totally get the tea tree oil speeding aging info. But I need to convince a friend who will not believe anything that's conjecture. Have any resources that prove that the sloughing of cells will speed the aging process.
TIA

There is proof that cell renewal capacity is strictly limited. Is that what you mean?

Here is some info:

From my own (very unscientific) observations it is clear that those women and men that always have a tan (white people with sun-coloured skin i mean), have more wrinkles in their skin than those that do not expose their skin to the sun as much. To me thats because more sunexposure means more skincell turnover, which accelerates aging of the skin. Hence thew same is true for anything that accelerates cell renewal.

I guess so (if you apply it to your skin, of course), because i think it contains quite some more or less aggressive compounds, but im not sure, as i didnt investigate this; it seems logical to me.
If you want to be sure, try to look up what it contains exactly.
I see no reason why you would want to use it. Do you?

It's often used to prevent or control fleas and ticks on dogs.... So I guess it has toxic properties indeed.....
