Has anyone had a root canal and cap?
Does anyone believe there are any dangers in a Silver Crown?

My filling will be Gutta Percha and Glass ionomer with a silver crown. Will the excess intake of sugar on this diet affect the tooth at all?

I have had two root canals and caps. I'm sure there are some dangers with a silver crown, just not sure exactly what.

Supposedly silver and gold (alloys) are relatively neutral in relation to the body, unless you have an allergy to them. Survival of the crown depends on how well the crown fits and if all caries has been removed. If everything is done well, there shouldn't be any problem.

Of course no one has ever done teeth research on people who are on the Wai diet, so the best thing is to use experience and common sense.
