Re: How long to wait before accepting that it's not working?
Ive been on this diet for 70 days with no improvement. Ive gotten some hormonal blood tests and i do have irregular hormones. Would you advise leaving the diet and pursuing ankther course of action by now?
Re: How long to wait before accepting that it's not working?
Yes, If you have irregular hormones, and no result on this diet, it is very likely that these hormones dominate sebum production and water retention.
In that case, it makes a lot of sense to have tackling these hormone irregularities as your primary goal.
Progesterone and testosterone have profound effects on sebum production, and the sex hormones in general on water retention. With an unfortunate combined impact, the effects on your skin are disastrous.
What characterises your hormone profile exactly?
There are various options for counteracting the effects of each hormone.

Ah, that explains; dominating progesteron levels are known possible causes of acne.
Have you considered trying a estrogen based birth control pill?
Instead, or additionally, you may also try consuming a lot of fresh raw egg yolks (12 per day). If your hormonal imbalance is not caused by any defect, the yolks will likely restore your balance.
If the yolks can help you, it is way preferrable over the pil, of course, because you may want a naturally functioning hormone cycle at some point. So, i would really advise to try the yolks first.

Thank you. I don't know if I can afford to do that many but I will increase.
