Yes, and they try small bits.
Most stuff they don't like.
And what they do like, I tell them its bad food (and they will stop).
That will be a future challenge...

I am getting a daughter myself this year, and will try to give her as much raw food as possible. Her mother eats a diet based on whole foods, quite a lot of raw fruits and vegetables, som raw fish, and cooked meat. Some milk products and grains, but as little as possible. Very healthy, by normal standards, still a way to go by Wai-standards
When our daugther is born, she will try to breast feed her, and after a while induce raw and slow cooked foods (I need to get a slow cooker! Any tips on what kind?).

When our daugther is born, she will try to breast feed her, and after a while induce raw and slow cooked foods

Its best not to introduce any fruits (or any other food) before the age of 6 months; just breast milk.
The only thing that you can introduce sooner, is egg yolk.
My kids both got egg yolk since they were 3 months old, which in both cases supported their growth. There are no fruit acids in egg yolk, or plant-based anti-nutrients. And of course egg yolks are filled with what babies (and chicken embryos) need.
Just start with a drop of egg yolk every day; on your fingertip.
Double the portion every 3 days.
Once she is 6 months old, you can start introducing sieved fruit juices, and mix the yolks into it.

I need to get a slow cooker! Any tips on what kind?

I simply use a wide pan.
You need a wide pan so that the water may readily evaporate (losing heat).

Fill the pan with some meat that contains a lot of connective tissue ('high quality' meat will get too dry), and then completely fill it up with water (and some bouillon/salt/pepper).
Put the pan (no lid!) on the smallest fire of your stove, with as little heat produced as possible.
That way the temp will eventually be between 60 and 90°C. You will have to add some cold water every few hours to keep the pan filled up.
The first time you do this, you will have to check the temp of the water regularly.

You can also use an oven, of course! (allows better temp control)
Always use lots of water though, as dry food yields way more Maillard reaction products.

A "little" bit late, but no less sincere Congrats whith your boy RRM! I think I hadn't done that yet. They look gorgeous! And I love Trix' hair!
I'm gonna ask you right away, I'm curious.... did you get them vaccinated? (I've been reading a lot about it lately since my "little" brother got his firstborn last february )

Trix is an official (old) name, but also short for Beatrice / Beatrix.
Beatrice is the name of her grandmother in Ghana, which happens to be a queen (of a village),
and Beatrix the name of our former queen in Holland (of the country).
When people talked about "Trix", it was about the queen.
Trix is our little queen.
