Editing + deleting posts

From now on it's possible to edit a post for 10 mins after posting and to delete a post 5 mins after posting.

Hmm, it should be on the top right of the post. the quote button is on the right, the edit button on the left, of the buttons.

There is no edit button at that place 10 min after posting ..

It should be there from the time you post until 10 mins after that. Thereafter it won't be there anymore. At least that's how I understand it.

Why don't you make it like this:
Users can edit or delete post until there is a new post in that topic.

Otherwise you get things like this, three post in a row..

that's not possible unfortunately (that I know of), it could be that the 10 minute rule isn't working for all users because the permissions are messed up, I'll check it in a min, but the idea is that users can make typo corrections after proofreading (shouldn't take more than 10 minutes) their submitted post without coming back to delete it a week later (editing capability removed)

Cause we're a poor forum and need all the posts we can gets I mean get*

It works now, but keep in mind only for posts you make from now on and ten minutes afterward, then the edit button will disappear for non mods/admins.

The problem was Registered Users weren't granted permission to edit own posts, which needs to be enabled alongside the 10 minute editing own post time limit. Phpbb doesn't do a good job of outlining that unfortunately
