time between eating something and getting breakouts

I've read a few different times. Does anyone know or is there an actual approx. length of time between eating something and getting a breakout from it? My skin is acting so wacko I can't figure it out.

The minimum is a few hours. The maximum response time is about 48 hours.
However, if there is a lot of junk in your blood, the response time may span a week.
