Spruce gum (Picea pungens) is something I have chewed in North America; it has a beautiful taste. I often tried to pick off and chew the sap from cherry trees when in the U.S. as a child. I often climbed trees and found its amber-colored sap mesmerizing; it was as lovely as the ripening cherries..

Is chewing gum alright on the Wai Diet? Some of the ingredients must be absorbed, but are they negligible? Also, is there any way this could cause acne?
