As i previously said; peeling nectarines does not make much difference.
Dried fruits in general? yes.

Why is there a difference when peeling dried fruits?

What if they're peeled?

The problem of their soft skin is that the bad stuff is readily absorbed, and not just sticks to the skin,
so that peeling will make a difference, but not that much.

What about dried nectarines or dried fruits in general? Peel off the skin too?

The skin of fruits such as dates and figs is not that soft,
so that the bad stuff will have got stuck to the skin.
