Where in history does your food item belong?
I made up some categories, what do you guys think of my definition for these historical periods?
1. Paleo = raw food
{you ran, you got scraped, you dove in water, you swang from a tree and dug into the dirt and you got it, fresh caught or foraged food}
2. Neo Paleo = farmed food (vegetables, grains, kept livestock)
{a societal start of the experiment in creating the couch-potato_lazy gene}
3. Classic = cooked foods (stew, grill, bake, make)
{fire!}
4. NeoClassic = portable foods (salted, baked, dehydrated)
{So that you can carry on long ship voyages, or hike some mountains to find some unknown land.}
5. Modern = industrial foods (canned pesticides microwaveable)
{you found out you still had to farm, so you took the short cut and experimented with fire to find its properties in the lab, then you made machines to be efficient at making shelf-life foods.}
6. Neo Modern = marketed foods (fresh organic unsalted unsugared unsaturated-fattened un-polyunsaturated-lipided, non-gmo...)
{you became guilty and decided to sticker on labels in-addition to the price tag sticker, whether you really made an effort or not to make food like the ancient farms; and you defined what is the word ancient without any real study of the ancient.}
7. Post Modern = pill foods, synthetic burger (it is not even canned, it was a grown burger!).
{can't lie anymore, it is made in some lab, proudly made, and it is suppose to be good for you.}
8. Neo Post Modern = biosynthetic pill foods, with biosynthetic burger...
{getting there...to reduce costs and materials and to increase profit}
Is your food, Paleo Classic Modern Post Neo ...?

Re: Is your food, Paleo Classic Modern Post Neo ...?
Nice.
Maybe between 2 and 3 you might add another category that includes dehydrating, soaking, fermenting and slow cooking?
