What do you do with the egg whites?
What do you do with the egg whites???? If I had the eggs, I would hate throwing out food, even if it is not the ideal food, and especially in this poverty stricken country. Any good uses for it?
Oh nini, it's never easy, not even over-easy
I've tried giving my whites away and no one would take them. Family, neighbors, and neighbors dogs!- no one. I did this for a year, roughly. Now, sometimes I'll have a yolk. Sometimes I'll have the whole egg. I do feel guilty and wasteful when they slither down the drain

This is the way I see it as well. Its just like peeling a banana or an orange. The skin is loaded with nutrients, but its not something you should eat. Whites are the 'peel' of the egg.johndela1 wrote:I consider them non food, like the shell...
I don't feel guilty about throwing away the shell. They are just part of the package.
This is what i do as well. Its a peel so it goes right out with the peels.Remembrance wrote:Compost goo.
Funny, a friend of mine has a few chickens and geese that lay eggs, and, taking my advice, she composts the bad eggs rather than throwing them down the sink. Unfortunately for her, she lives up in blackbear country, and the critters will tear through anything in her property just to reach the few eggs she puts out in the compost every day...
