is it ok to eat lemons/limes instead of oranges? its very cheap!
i was also worried about magnesium deficiency? how do you know if your getting enough mag?

I wouldn't advise you to start driking liters of lemon juice, like you can do on orange juice, because lemons/limes are very more acidic. I don't think a human body could hand it. Only if you do the traditional lemonade (like 1 part of juice per 10 parts of water, add lots of sugar) but this way you'd be getting almost all the calories from sugar, so you wouldn't be getting that much vitamins and minerals, you see?

Exactly.
They are not really for eating, but merely for 'seasoning'.
Too acidic and higher levels of anti-nutrients.
If you feel you need more magnesium; nuts, papaya, coconut and banana contain relatively much magnesium.

I like kiwi juice now instead of orange juice, haha
