Mine was ~10mmol, yours seems around normal to me.Emeira wrote:ok, so the results showed I have high (again) cholesterol:
before two months:
2012-09-21 5,2 mmol/l
Today:
2012-12-03 7,05 mmol/l
Should I be concerned?
Its quite common to have cholesterol levels within the normal range, and yet develop atheroma formation in the walls of arteries.Emeira wrote:I am afraid, that high level of cholesterol will has negative effect for my health in the future.

I'll test in 2 weeksdime wrote:What are your trygliceride levels, these are also relevant?
You still think that too much of animal fat, even raw, can be harmful?dime wrote: less yolks now, around 4-5 ... and less animal fat, as well as 100% raw
Theoretically everything is very clear, but... but anyway, well... I don't know...i feel some kind of fear and anxiety.RRM wrote:If you dont consume heat-ttreated animal food, you will not ingest oxysterols,
and there is no health risk.
There is no point.Emeira wrote:What's the point? Symptoms of clogged arteries usually do not appear until late middle age or old age.
but i will check LDL/HDL ratio
Of course, thats normal.Theoretically everything is very clear, but... but anyway, well... I don't know...i feel some kind of fear and anxiety.
NOTHINGSo there is nothing to worry about, right?
Yes, as long as it is all raw, the animal food.I can safely eat 5-7 raw egg yolks/day (not organic) , raw animal fat, beef, pork, fish (not organic) even if my total cholesterol level will be at the same level (7...mmol/l) or even higher?
Because the relationship between cholesterol levels and atheroma is 'inconclusive',RRM wrote:So, the association between total cholesterol and atheroma is not causal, and not even direct, but indirect (via oxysterols).
Feeling much calmer now, thank youRRM wrote: NOTHING
If i had the slightest doubts, i wouldnt feed my 1 yr old daughter 3 egg yolks daily.
(which would translate into 15 yolks daily for someone your weight)
Salted raw pork fat is very popular and quite expensive food in my country, of course before going into the market, pork or any other meat must be checked by qualified veterinary doctors or quality controllers.RRM wrote: But no, you cannot eat raw pork (no pork at all).
