Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Yeah I ordered 18 liters :) Should cover me for the next year or so.
Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Got the oil, at first taste it seems like the best olive oil I've tried. No bitterness and no stringing after effect at the back on the throat at all.
For comparison, I tried the typical extra virgine oil I had in the fridge, and that tasted horrible after trying this one first.
Now I'm just waiting for the juicer to arrive and then I'm ready to go 100% wai :D

Very nice! Did you order on the site, or via email?

Email, the website didn't work.
Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Thanks, I'll try that too then.

I am planning to order 18 liters of Traditional Virgin Olive Oil (Denocciolato) from http://www.oleumvieste.com/english/i-pr ... -3-lt.html
For me it costs a lot of money, so I need advice, is it really worth it? is it the best oil for Wai diet?
maybe there are other better oils than this?
I heard that oils in glass bottles are healthier than in metal cans, is this true?

Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
... and how long does olive oil last?
Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
How much olive oil do you use daily? I think it lasts 1.5 years or so.
Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Right now i don't use olive oil at all, because I think most of oils in our country are bad quality
Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Olive oil lasts longer than other oils because of its very content of oleic acid, and its polyphenols,
Both oleic acid Diplock AT et al and olive oil phenolics inhibit oxidation of fats.
Due to this, olive oil is also relatively resistant to frying conditions, compared to vegetable oils (even) with higher vitamin E.Casal S et al
After the first time of frying, still 70-80% of these phenolics is retained.Andrikopoulos NK
Due to very low oxidation susceptibility, olive oil is nongenotoxic, unlike many other oils (sesame, flax, wheat germ, soy).Rojas-Molina M
You can import high quality olive oil (denocciolato) from Italy, for example.
Also its omega-3 contents are perfect: 1% of total, which is in accordance with recommendations.

Actually I find it rather cheap compared to buying a high quality olive oil from a supermarket (which won't be denocciolato anyway).Emeira wrote:For me it costs a lot of money, so I need advice, is it really worth it? is it the best oil for Wai diet? :)

So if you ask me it's definitely worth it.

how much you have paid for shipping?dime wrote:Actually I find it rather cheap compared to buying a high quality olive oil from a supermarket (which won't be denocciolato anyway).Emeira wrote:For me it costs a lot of money, so I need advice, is it really worth it? is it the best oil for Wai diet?

Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Shipping is free (included in the price) if I remember correctly.
Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
18 liters of olive oil traditional ("Denocciolato") € 126 + shipping costs € 42.00 = €168 total.
That is a lot of many, because my salary is € 245/a month

Re: Olive oil from ripe olives without kernel (denocciolato)
Hmm for me there was no shipping costs, only 126 euro.. maybe you live too far from Italy? Or they changed the policy..
Consider that the oil will last you a whole year, i.e. 126 / 12 = 10.5. or maybe in your case it will be 14 / month.
