Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet) (Not Omnivore)
November 14, 2014 "Forbidden Fruits"*
Rule Breaking Version adds not Wai items (-3.6.27) Munch foods
23:45 -7:50
8:45 2 apples
12:00 1 apple
16:30 4 tbsp sugar 250ml "hot" water {Cheers Kasper! Enjoys AGEs/ALEs discussion.}
17:30 2 tsp oo (nov)*
19:30 3 potatoes steamed 19 min
20:00 0.5 apple
23:00 250ml water + 4 tbsp sugar + 2 tbsp oo (regular)
---
Today's & yesterday's diet is a response to the on going discussion here on AGEs /ALEs
*Today's Diary Entitled: Forbidden Fruits
forbidden because I ate apples and potatoes, fructose and heat.
Apples = fructose, fructose = bad; JeffC has articles that point to CML, and some rat studies...
Heated potatoes = AGEs; high temperature AGEs = bad, as per RRM...
Damned either way.
So let it be that I eat.
Today's Rule was: Nothing but fruits... (and no I am not becoming a vegetarian.)
{Article Reading Aytundra on the stormy sea and not done reading everything yet, cannot just starve, so to stay a float she has to be creative.}
Creative new rule:
Aytundra will alternate between Carnivore "&" Fructivore but never an Omnivore, with as much Wai items as possible (Munch items included).
Why? me thinks this will decrease chances of bad stuff forming endogenously...{And I continue to read...}
----
**Splurged a bit, I bought: hand picked and hand pressed olive oil of November;
(I could not find denocciolato, so I guess if it is hand processed, maybe they were careful to enough to remove pits?)
Made possible by the low cost of potatoes ( 2 potatoes = 1 egg ). - budget aytundra
The taste of the oil stings mildly but there is no bitterness. (30ml = 10 eggs)
Was it worth it?
I don't know, this is my first time buying oo.
I've read that:
- fresh oil is better than old oil; because lipid breaks down, that is why some say to choose dark glass bottles.
- olive is usually harvested in Sept-Nov; now is November, supermarket stocked this a week ago; So I think I bought fresh?

November 15, 2014 (-W 3.7.29)(-W 4.3.29)(-CFnO 1.3.3)*
00:30 - 7:35
9:30 1 apple
12:00 2 pieces of chocolate with creme (2 x 2 x 1cm), fakecrabsushi, scrambledeggsushi, 1 spring roll, 2 chicken skewers
14:00 tbsp sugar 250ml water, 145ml of 9% fat yogurt
19:00 3 potatoes, slow-cooked goat 10 pieces of 2 inch cubed**
22:00 chocolate raisin hazelnut (0.5 x 2 x 4 cm), 1 apple

*Luckily, no pimples yet from the high fat low protein dairy.
Unfortunately Mascarpone's ingredients had fructose (other brands had sugar), this disqualifies my last few Not-Omnivore days.
I will retry Not-Omnivore tomorrow.

Potatoes
5 min steaming, and 15 min sauna (heat off)
Potato 1cm cubes on glass plate elevated on 3 cm rack, enclosed in a stainless steel pan with 4 cm water.
Boiling water cooling down gradually, only moisture from steam touches potatoes;
To maybe help prevent run off of nutrients, unlike being swamped in boiling water.
Texture Taste: Potatoes soft mash like, with slight crunch.
Meat
> 2 hours
Meat inserted into boiling water for 3 min, water level covers meat.
1st round of boiled water discarded.
2nd round with room temp water and meat brought up to boiling point 2 min with lid over pot;
Heat turned off the instant water bubbles, lid removed for 10 seconds to let bubbles go down.
Lid back on without lifting lid off for over 2 hours.
3rd heat treatment after 2 hours at low heat for 5 min, no water change.
Texture Taste: Meat still a little tough, but cooked, the fat pairs well with the taste of potatoes.

-Because weight hovers at lower range.
What map do you need?
-Map of how to do this diet properly.
But you already have one (sort of, but not for weight management).
-Where?
Silly goose, you made one way back when you started this diary... Let me ask you are you meeting RDA for watersoluble vitamins in the past week every day?
-No, it's been a bit chaotic, you know that stormy sea...
And according to your maps how do you get all of them "easily"?
-by eating fruits and with specific ratios.
And why ratios?
-because aytundra likes to eat vitamins in proportion, like nothing too drastically out of range.
So you know what to do then? right?
- meet water soluble vitamins requirements daily.
And why meet them?
- because water soluble vitamins are used up daily and or excess is excreted through waste as in pee...
What happens to heat-sensitive vitamins under heat?
- gone
Given limit on the volume of potatoes you can munch: Are potatoes enough?
- No potatoes solo might not be enough.
------
A conversation with la brain of aytundra. {Enjoy!} That's all I have time to type for now, more to come...

*** so juicy and clear tasting, veggies will always rank below the taste of veggie fruit.
If "t" lettered foods are blue to you, tomatoes have 2 "t"s, why do you eat them aytundra?
A: I should say I eat "omamoes",
because I peel tomatoes which removes the first "t",
and I take out the seeds and throw them out which removes th second "t".
[Technical answer: pesticides on skins, oxalates in seeds. Which are harder to do on veggies, you can't really peel a broccoli or cauliflower properly...}
9:00 1 banana
13:00 60 g shredded dessicated coconut
16:30 junk =
1 piece of steamed broccoli (3 x 3 x 2 cm)*, steamed cauliflower* (3 x3 x 2 cm), 2 slices of steamed carrot* (3 cm diameter x 0.3 cm){yuck, bland and tasteless, probably missing vitamins}
1 piece of fluffy warm pita bread (3cm x 1 cm x 1cm) with Tzatziki sauce ("tsk tsk tsk" says nojunk aytundra)
15ml of yogurt*{generic yogurt tastes like mascarpone with chalk dumped in, chalk dumping is a tragedy to the taste of dairy foods imo, it really ruins the taste, I was looking for something creamy and fatty with sucrose}
1 piece of rice chips {Crunchy, but does not like the idea of artificial colouring} (face palm = nojunk aytundra)
1 cm cube of grilled chicken {likes it!} (growls raw aytundra)
1 piece of coconut cookie (4 cm diameter x 0.8 cm) {feels like I am eating a sandbox but then everything turns sticky and soggy like sugary cereal after a few seconds, I officially don't like cookies anymore.}
19:00 1 banana
22:00 4 tomatoes***
23:30 1 banana, 3 yolks
